My hometown gave me the opportunity to start a business, work hard, and get ahead. Every resident of Clallam County deserves the chance to do the same.
I led a team that brought $35 million of workforce development and economic development funding to our region so that our residents can get family-wage jobs.
Housing Affordability
Too many residents struggle with high housing prices. I’ve been a proven leader on this issue, advocating for policies that are working.
I worked with local affordable housing developers to start building new apartments across the County, and supported regulatory reform to make it easier to build.
Public Safety, Homelessness,
and Substance Abuse
All our residents deserve to feel safe in their community. I’m committed to real solutions on these tough issues, not more divisive rhetoric.
I helped secure funding to support a co-response program that pairs behavioral health workers with law enforcement, and I’m currently working as Chair of the Board of Health to deploy Opioid Settlement Funds across the County.
Environment, Natural Resources,
and Climate Change
We live in a beautiful area and have a responsibility to protect it. I’ve been a thoughtful, balanced leader who unites communities behind win/win policies.
I adopted a new Community Wildfire Protection Plan for Clallam County, working collaboratively with Fire Districts and others to increase our resilience to wildfires.
